Kerry fight back while Roscommon claim Donegal scalp – Allianz National League Roundup

Division 1

Roscommon

Roscommon continued their scintillating form in Division 1 claiming yet another scalp in the form of 2012 All Ireland Champions Donegal. The Rossies beat the home team 1-19 to 17 points in Letterkenny.  Kerry secured their third straight win away to Mayo. A strong second half performance from the Kingdom saw them come from behind to defeat the westerners 2-13 to 14 points. Cork saw off Monaghan winning by a seven point margin of 1-20 to 1-13 points. Dublin’s victory over Down pushed the hosts closer to relegation. 1-15 to 1-7 the winning score for the Dubs.

Division 2

Tyrone

Tyrone have edged ever closer to promotion to Division 1 following their victory away to Meath. Mickey Harte’s side’s 1-17 was enough to see of the home sides score of 1-11. Elsewhere in Division 2 Armagh and Galway played out an enthralling 1-15 to 1-15 draw in the Athletic Grounds. Laois hemorrhaged goals against Derry but managed to take a point from their clash. 1-22 to 5-10 the final score. Cavan proved to be too much for home side Fermanagh with the visitors winning 1-12 to 9 points.

Division 3

Longford

Kildare suffered their first loss of this year’s National League as visitors Sligo pipped them 2-15 to 2-14 in Newbridge. Longford saw off the challenge of Tipperary beating the Premier County 1-17 to 1-11. Offaly secured a win over Clare winning by a slender one point margin. The game finished 15 points to 1-11. Limerick suffered and embarrassing loss at home to Westmeath with the visitors running away 2-14 to 7 points winners.

Division 4

Antrim maintained their winning streak as they defeated Waterford 1-16 to 6 points. Wexford and Wicklow played out a high scoring game with the home side winning 4-23 to 3-14. Carlow couldn’t stop a rampant Louth as they lost 2-17 to 1-7. London hosted Leitrim but failed to prevent the visitors from taking the points on offer. 1-16 to 1-11 the final score.
