Arsenal welcomed FC Barcelona to the Emirates tonight while last years runners up Juventus hosted Bayern Munich in Turin.
Arsenal put in an impressive performance tonight which saw the sides level at halftime. However a 70th minute counter attack saw Suárez set Neymar free before the Brazilian squared the ball to the on rushing Messi. The Argentinian took a touch before finding the back of the net. Arsenal brought on Mathieu Flamini and his first involvement in the game was to conceded a penalty fouling Messi in the box. Messi stepped up to take it and made it 2-0 after 84 minutes played.
Juventus vs Bayern
Juventus produced a fantastic comeback at home against Bayern Munich. Thomas Mueller had given the Germans the lead before halftime. 10 minutes into the second half Bayern doubled their advantage when Arjen Robben found the back of the net. However the Italians would not settle for a loss at home. 22 year old Paulo Dybala scored the first Juve goal with 63 minutes played. Substitute Stefano Sturaro completed the comeback with 76 minutes played.
