German side Wolfsburg came into this tie on a poor run of form but produced a massive shock as they beat ten time champions Real Madrid 2-0 tonight at the Volkswagen Arena. Ricardo Rodriguez gave the home side the lead from the penalty spot with 18 minutes played before Maximilian Arnold doubled their advantage with 25 minutes gone. Real lost striker Karim Benzema to injury before halftime and Madrid coach Zidane’s changes failed to provide an away goal. Wolfsburg take a two goal advantage into next week’s away leg.

PSG will be without Blaise Matuidi and David Luiz due to an accumulation of yellow cards and face a battle next week with City holding two vital away goals.
