LASK midfielder Florian Flecker struck a brilliant opener from the edge of the area on 19 minutes for the Austrians. Roma coach Jose Mourinho has been banned for four matches by Uefa for confronting English referee Anthony Taylor after the Europa League final. The charge relates to an incident in a car park after the game, when Mourinho, 60, directed a foul-mouthed rant at Taylor.

Jose Mourinho has been charged with insulting and abusing a match official, the governing body UEFA has said, after the football manager was filmed shouting at officials following AS Roma’s loss to Sevilla in the Europa League final.Mourinho was critical of the refereeing after the game, saying: “It was an intense, masculine, vibrant game with a referee who seemed Spanish. It was yellow, yellow, yellow all the time.”

Sevilla claimed a record-extending seventh Europa League title as they beat Roma on penalties at a raucous Puskas Arena in Budapest. Gonzalo Montiel, who also scored the winning penalty for Argentina in the World Cup final against France, repeated the trick for the Spanish side following a 1-1 draw, with a retaken spot kick after Roger Ibanez and Gianluca Mancini had missed for Roma.
