Manchester City’s long quest to win the Champions League finally ended in triumph against Inter Milan in Istanbul as Pep Guardiola’s side completed the Treble. The Turkish Grand Prix has been added once again to the 2021 Formula 1 race calendar replacing the Singapore Grand Prix. The Turkish Grand Prix had previously been added to the calendar but was then removed due to Covid-19 travel restrictions however it will now host round 16 of the championship.

The Singapore Grand Prix will not take place for the second year in a row due to Covid-19 travel restrictions. Formula 1 are considering their options to replace the race with an event in Turkey while a second race in either America or China is also being contemplated

Formula 1 have had to alter their race calendar once again replacing the Turkish Grand Prix with a second race in Austria at the Red Bull Ring. The date of the French Grand Prix has also been moved as a result of the development.

This year’s Champions League final between Macnhester City and Chelsea has been moved from Istanbul to FC Porto’s Estádio do Dragão. The decision was taken after the English government added Turkey to their red list of travel destinations.
