Geraint Thomas withdraws from Giro d’Italia with broken pelvis

Ineos Grenadiers rider Geraint Thomas has withdrawn from the Giro d’Italia after just three stages following a crash on Monday. Thomas was caught up in a crash during the neutral section after he cycled over a bidon. Scans have revealed he has suffered a pelvis fracture.
