Sick Kits of the week 6

After a short brake this feature returns to bring you up to date with all the latest footballing kits. Here are my picks for this week:

PSV Heritage kit

PSV

PSV Eindhoven and Umbro have released the final Philips, the last-ever PSV kit to feature the iconic Philips logo on the chest. Named PSV Heritage kit, the new PSV jersey boasts many traditional elements such as the classic club logo used between 1917 and 1937. The electroincs comapny announced this month that they would no longer be the clubs primary sponsor but would remain as a secondary sponsor. I love the classic look of the jersey which features a touching tribute on the back of the collar reading ‘Proud of you.’PSV will wear this kit in the last two games of the season.

Pescara Calacio 80th anniversary kit

Pescara

In collaboration with its kit supplier Errèa, Italian Serie B club Pescara Calcio have unveiled a commemorative shirt to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its founding. The kit goes back to the traditional style featuring a lace-up collar. Completing the design are blue-and-white stripes, one on each sleeve and one on the left side of the jersey underneath the club crest. An excellent job by Errea on this special jersey.

Boca Juniors Third Kit

Boca jrns balck

Nike and Boca Juniors recently launched the Argentian club’s third kit. Inspired by the iconic blue Boca Juniors home jerseys, the new Boca Juniors 2016 third shirt is black with a gold chest hoop. The kit is very similar to this years home jersey but I love the toned down colours. The sponsors names feature in gold and this kit looks absolutely gorgeous.

1860 Munich Commemorative Jersey

Macron Munich

1860 München have teamed up with Macron to create a special jersey commemorating the 50th anniversary of the club’ Bundesliga win. Inspired by the 1966 kit, the 1860 München anniversary shirt is kept very simple. It is sky blue with white trim and a subtle, tone-in-tone Macron logo. Fittingly, a historic club crest is used instead of the contemporary one, while the upper back below the collar reads “Deutscher Meister 1966” (1966 German champions). To make this jersey even more special the names of the title-winning team are stitched on the left hem. An amazing job by Macron. 1860 Munchen now play in the second division and will wear this jersey against Braunschweig next Sunday.

Some very special kits in this weeks picks. It really is hard to beat a nice commemorative jersey.
