Peter Sagan finished off some textbook sprinter shredding by his Bora-Hansgrohe team by beating Fernando Gaviria and Davide Cimolai in Stage 10 at Foligno. Bora’s infernal pace-setting over the day’s only categorised climb distanced most of the top sprinters before Sagan sealed the deal to win the shortest stage of the Giro ahead of a much-needed rest day.

Ewan sprints to second victory on stage 7 – Giro d’Italia

A furiously fast finish saw Caleb Ewan storm to a second win at this year’s Giro d’Italia as Attila Valter (Groupama-FDJ) successfully defended the maglia rosa with little trouble. Stage 8 should prove more challenging for the peloton as the race travels from Foggia to Guardia Sanframondi via some sharp climbs.
