FIFA have announced the Women’s World Cup will be expanded from 24 to 32 teams taking effect from the next edition of the tournament.

America prove too strong for the Netherlands as they retain World Cup
The United States of America retained their Women’s World Cup title defeating the Netherlands 2-0 in the final. A Megan Rapinoe penalty and a strike from Rose Lavelle saw them become only the second nation to retain the trophy.
