Arsenal survive Spurs fightback to win North London derby

Premier League leaders Arsenal survived a second-half scare at Tottenham to hold on for a 3-2 north London derby victory that cemented their place at the top. A 23-minute blitz saw the Gunners race into a 3-0 lead through a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg own goal, Bukayo Saka finish and Kai Havertz header but an error from David Raya opened the door for Spurs to hit back through Cristian Romero and a Heung-min Son penalty.

Sheffield relegated after heavy loss to Newcastle

Sheffield United’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed as Newcastle recovered from a sluggish start to thrash Chris Wilder’s side at St James’ Park. Anel Ahmedhodzic gave the visitors a deserved early lead but a brace from Alexander Isak along with goals from Callum Willson and Bruno Guimaraes condemned the Blades to the drop.

Inter seal historic 20th Serie A title with derby victory over Milan

Inter Milan sealed their 20th Italian title by beating arch-rivals and nearest challengers AC Milan in a historic Derby della Madonnina. Francesco Acerbi was unmarked to head in from a corner to give Inter the lead. Marcus Thuram smashed their second into the bottom corner at the San Siro. England’s Fikayo Tomori headed in from close range to give Milan brief hope but it was to no avail.
