Schauffele wins gold as McIlroy misses out in Tokyo
Xander Schauffele won gold at the Tokyo Games men’s singles golf tournament as Rory McIlroy suffered heartache in a nerve-jangling seven-man play-off for bronze. Schauffele snatched the glory after a marvellous approach to the 18th green that set up a birdie putt and breaking Rory Sabbatini’s heart.
