Callum Robinson hit a hat-trick as Ireland cruised to a 4-0 win over Qatar in their international friendly at the Aviva Stadium. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic had given Serbia a first half lead but with minutes remaining he crashed a clearance off Nikola Milenkovic into his own net to see the spoils shared.

Ireland scrambled to rescue a 1-1 draw at home to Azerbaijan thanks to an 87th minute Shane Duffy header in their 2022 World Cup qualifier. Azerbaijan took a shock lead in first half injury time through a stunning strike from Emin Makhmudov. The result effectively ends any slim hopes Ireland had of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.
