Nottingham Forest won a third straight FA Cup penalty shootout to beat Brighton and reach the semi-finals of the competition for the first time in 34 years. Goalkeeper Matz Sels was the hero for the visitors, saving Jack Hinshelwood and Diego Gomez’s spot-kicks as Forest won the shootout 4-3 after the drab match had finished goalless after 120 minutes of action.

Brazil coach Dorival Junior was fired on Friday after 14 months amid poor results and disappointing performances from the national team. Junior’s sacking by Brazilian Football Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues came three days after a 4-1 defeat to bitter rival Argentina in Buenos Aires, Brazil’s heaviest defeat in a World Cup qualifier.

Yuki Tsunoda to replace Liam Lawson at Red Bull from Japanese GP

Red Bull have confirmed that they will demote Liam Lawson and replace him with Yuki Tsunoda with immediate effect. The decision comes after Lawson had completed just two grands prix for Red Bull, and three months after Tsunoda was passed over for the New Zealander as a replacement for Sergio Perez. Lawson will return to second team Racing Bulls as team-mate to French rookie Isack Hadjar.
