Jonathan Milan landed a first win at the Tour de France with a comfortable bunch sprint victory on Stage 8. The Italian, who returns to the top of the points classification, arrived at his debut Tour with four wins at the Giro d’Italia on his palmares. World champion Tadej Pogacar soared back into yellow after a barnstorming win over Jonas Vingegaard at Mur-de-Bretagne. But Stage 7 of the Tour de France was not all good news for the reigning champion after a nasty high-speed crash saw his UAE Emirates-XRG team-mate Joao Almeida cross the line over 10 minutes back. Tadej Pogacar is into the yellow jersey for the first time at the 2025 Tour de France as Remco Evenepoel produced a mesmerising individual time trial to win Stage 5 in Caen. Evenepoel needed to overturn a 58-second deficit on Pogacar to take yellow, but the defending champion produced a blistering ride of his own to seize the overall lead as his big rival Jonas Vingegaard shipped buckets of time.
