Dutchman Koen Bouwman won a fascinating four-way battle at the conclusion of a pulsating Stage 7 at Potenza to secure Jumbo-Visma’s first win on the Giro d’Italia for three years. Expertly supported by teammate Tom Dumoulin in the day’s break, Bouwman also secured the blue king of the mountains jersey after denying Bauke Mollema and Davide Formolo for a maiden Grand Tour stage win.
