GAA Football Championship first round qualifier draw.
8 teams know know their fate as they enter the qualifiers after this morning’s GAA Football Championship first round qualifier draw. The draw featured counties which failed to qualify for their provincial semi-finals and was divided into two sides – 1A and 1B.
The first team drawn has home advantage. Laois were first out of the 1A pot and play host to Armagh, while Wicklow travel to neighbours Carlow, Leitrim will host Waterford and Derry face the losers of the Louth versus Meath tie in the Leinster Championship.
In 1B, Down will meet Longford, while Antrim host Limerick, the loser of Offaly versus Westmeath welcomes London and Wexford are up against the loser between Fermanagh and Donegal.
1A matches will take place on the weekend of 18/19 June, with 1B games to be over the weekend of 25/26 June.
Confirmation of venues, times and all dates for the fixtures will follow a meeting of the CCCC.
