The Mexican replaces Alexander Albon who will remain at the team as a reserve driver. 30 year old Perez was set to leave the sport after Racing Point signed Sebastian Vettel however Albon’s disappointing season opened the door for him to remain in the sport.

AlphaTauri have today announced Yuki Tsunoda will replace Daniil Kvyat at the team for the 2021 Formula 1 season. The 20 year old Japanese driver will compete alongside Pierre Gasly while Kvyat leaves the sport with two podium finishes in 110 starts.
