Damien Duff announces departure from Ireland coaching staff

Republic of Ireland assistant manager Damien Duff has tonight announced he will leave his role with immediate effect. The 41-year-old former Irish international, capped 100 times by his country, took up the coaching position in August alongside manager Stephen Kenny and Keith Andrews.

Former assistant manager of Ireland Maurice Setters dies aged 83

Maurice Setters, Jack Charlton’s assistant coach during his time as Republic of Ireland manager has passed away at the age of 83. Setters was at Jack’s side during Euro ’88, Italia ’90 and USA ’94. Charlton passed away earlier this year following a battle with dementia.

John Delaney steps down as FAI CEO

FAI Chief Executive John Delaney has left his role with immediate effect taking up a new position as Executive Vice President. The news comes amid controversy around a €100,000 bridging loan which Delaney provided the FAI.
