Stephen Kenny has added QPR first team coach John Eustace to his backroom staff for the Republic of Ireland. Eustace joins as assistant coach and replaces the highly rated Anthony Barry who left his position to join the coaching staff of the Belgian national team.

The FAI has confirmed that it will be part of a joint bid with the football associations of Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales to host Euro 2028. The Aviva Stadium and Croke Park are likely to be suggested host venues should the bid be successful.

Republic of Ireland assistant manager Damien Duff has tonight announced he will leave his role with immediate effect. The 41-year-old former Irish international, capped 100 times by his country, took up the coaching position in August alongside manager Stephen Kenny and Keith Andrews.

Former assistant manager of Ireland Maurice Setters dies aged 83

Maurice Setters, Jack Charlton’s assistant coach during his time as Republic of Ireland manager has passed away at the age of 83. Setters was at Jack’s side during Euro ’88, Italia ’90 and USA ’94. Charlton passed away earlier this year following a battle with dementia.
