Steven Gerrard will meet Rangers’ owners in London over the coming days to hold talks over a sensational return to Ibrox. The former Rangers boss was due to arrive on Wednesday evening and is scheduled to meet with Rangers’ American owners Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe, who are leading the hunt for a new head coach. Keith Andrews says Brentford’s potential is “massive” after he was appointed as their new head coach on a three-year deal following Thomas Frank’s departure to Tottenham. Former Wolves midfielder Andrews, 44, joined the Bees last summer to work under Frank as the club’s set-piece coach. Italy appoint Gennaro Gattuso as new head coach

Italy have appointed former midfielder Gennaro Gattuso as their manager. The AC Milan legend replaces Luciano Spalletti, who announced his own sacking at a news conference last week.
