Liam Rosenior has been sacked by Chelsea following a run of five consecutive Premier League defeats in which the team failed to score. The former Hull and Strasbourg boss signed a six-and-a-half-year deal in January and started brightly but the team have plummeted down the table and are almost certain to miss out on qualification for the Champions League. They were beaten comfortably 3-0 by Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday, widely considered to have been the team’s worst performance of the season.

Marco Rose to succeed Iraola as Bournemouth manager

Marco Rose has agreed to take over as Bournemouth manager on a three-year contract when Andoni Iraola leaves at the end of the season. Bournemouth announced last Tuesday that Iraola, 43, would not be signing a new deal at Vitality Stadium. German manager Rose was one of three candidates considered by the Cherries, along with Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna and Rayo Vallecano’s Inigo Perez. The 49-year-old has been without a club since he was sacked by RB Leipzig in March 2025 and has never previously managed in England.

Tottenham have appointed Roberto de Zerbi as their new head coach after the Italian signed a five-year contract with the club. The former Brighton boss has seven games to save the club from relegation to the Championship. If they do go down, he does not have a relegation clause that would allow him to walk away. De Zerbi has been the overwhelming first choice to become the club’s new permanent head coach since Thomas Frank’s departure.

Igor Tudor has left his role as Tottenham Hotspur interim head coach after just 44 days and seven matches. Spurs said they have “mutually agreed” with the Croat to part ways with “immediate effect”. The decision comes a week after a damaging 3-0 home defeat by fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest on 22 March – a result that left Spurs 17th in the table and only one point above the relegation places with seven games remaining.

Nottingham Forest confirm Vítor Pereira as fourth head coach of season

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Vítor Pereira as their fourth head coach of the season. The former Wolves manager takes over from Sean Dyche, who was sacked on Thursday, on a contract until June 2027. Pereira inherits a team one place and three points above the relegation zone. Dyche lasted 25 matches after replacing Ange Postecoglou, who was given eight games as the successor to Nuno Espírito Santo.
