Everton’s Premier League points deduction reduced to six on appeal

Everton’s penalty for breaching Premier League financial rules has been reduced from 10 points to six after an appeal. The club were immediately docked 10 points in November for breaking profit and sustainability rules (PSR) in the three-year period to 2021-22. The 76-year-old was due to speak at a scheduled press conference , but members of the media waiting outside the club’s New Beckenham training ground were informed the briefing would not take place.

Jürgen Klopp to leave Liverpool at end of season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is to step down from the role at the end of the season, saying he is “running out of energy”. Klopp was appointed in October 2015 and his contract was due to run until 2026. He won the Champions League in 2019 before leading Liverpool to their first league title in 30 years in 2019-20.
