Arsenal have completed a deal to sign Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga after triggering the £5m release clause in his contract. Kepa, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, has signed a three-year deal at the Emirates and will bring experienced cover for international team-mate David Raya. Arsenal are understood to have been impressed by Kepa’s desire to join the club and fight for his place in the team.

Dembele stunned Arsenal when he swept home a low finish from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s delivery only four minutes into the semi-final first leg. Arsenal defender Gabriel will miss the remainder of the season after the club confirmed he requires hamstring surgery. The Brazilian was substituted in the first half of Arsenal’s 2-1 win against Fulham at the Emirates stadium on Tuesday. Arsenal say the 27-year-old is aiming to return to action in time for the start of the 2025-26 campaign.

Arsenal striker Kai Havertz will miss the remainder of the season after being told he needs surgery to repair a hamstring injury. The Gunners confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the damage the 25-year-old Germany international suffered during a warm-weather training camp in Dubai last week requires an operation. Havertz will then begin a period of rehabilitation which will rule him out until the summer.
