Alexis Mac Allister’s superb strike saw Liverpool come from behind to beat Atletico Madrid 2-1 at Anfield as Bradley Barcola went off with “cramp” on an eventful home debut. Barcola was making his first start for Liverpool but felt his calf in the second half and the £123m signing was substituted having missed three good chances to mark the occasion with a goal. Paris Saint-Germain put in a professional and positive display to claim a 1-1 draw away at Bayern Munich and set up a Champions League final with Arsenal on May 30 via a 6-5 aggregate win. Arsenal’s bid to reach their first Champions League final in 20 years hangs in the balance after a controversial 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid in Spain. Viktor Gyokeres fired Arsenal into the lead with a penalty however, Julian Alvarez also scored from the spot early in the second half. Arsenal were then denied a chance to restore their lead when referee Danny Makkelie overturned his on-pitch decision to award the visitors another penalty.
