After nine years and more than 450 appearances, Bernardo Silva will bring his glittering Manchester City career to a close at the end of the season. The 31-year-old, who joined City from AS Monaco for what now looks a modest £43m in 2017, confirmed on Thursday that he will leave the club when his current contract expires this summer. During his time at the Etihad, Silva has won 19 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and the club’s first Champions League trophy.

Bernardo Silva is set to leave Manchester City this summer, assistant manager Pep Lijnders has indicated. The Portugal midfielder is in the final year of his contract and his future has been the subject of speculation throughout the current season. Lijnders appeared to confirm the 31-year-old’s imminent departure while carrying out media duties on behalf of manager Pep Guardiola after Saturday’s FA Cup win over Liverpool.

Mohamed Salah is set to leave Liverpool at the end of this season, the Premier League club have announced. The 33-year-old arrived at Anfield from Roma in 2017 and has made 435 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 255 goals. The Egypt international came close to leaving the club in January after voicing his displeasure with manager Arne Slot but will now leave as a free agent come June.
