Saudi Arabia will join the Formula 1 calendar with a night race in the 2021 season. A street circuit in Jeddah will stage the inaugural race in November of next year. Saudi Arabia becomes F1’s third race in the Middle East joining Bahrain and Abu Dhabi.

Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi will remain together at Alfa Romeo for a third consecutive Formula 1 season in 2021, the team have confirmed. The new deals for the pair means 2007 world champion Raikkonen will continue in the sport beyond his 42nd birthday next October.

Pierre Gasly will remain with AlphaTauri for the 2021 Formula 1 season. Gasly, in his first full season back with the team after being dropped by Red Bull, has been one of the star drivers of 2020 with a number of standout performances notably winning the Italian GP.

Honda have announced they will withdraw from Formula 1 at the end of the 2021 season. The Japanese manufacturer provide engines to both Red Bull and AlphaTauri and leaves both teams looking for new suppliers from 2022. The move means the sport will have just three power unit manufacturers.
