Norris coasts to victory in Singapore ahead of Verstappen

McLaren’s Lando Norris dominated the Singapore Grand Prix to take a further chunk out of Max Verstappen’s advantage in the championship. Verstappen, who finished a distant second in his Red Bull, is now 52 points ahead of the Briton with six races remaining. Norris’ McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri finished third from fifth on the grid, passing both Mercedes drivers on track after a later pit stop.

Norris shines brightest to take pole in Singapore

Lando Norris took pole position from championship leader Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton in a dramatic qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix. Norris, who trails Verstappen by 59 points in the championship, beat his rival by 0.203s as Q3 all came down to one lap due to a crash from Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz at the final corner. Charles Lecerc saw a his lap time deleted leaving the two Ferrari’s starting from the fifth row.

Liverpool claimed an assured victory at AC Milan on their Champions League return to firmly bounce back from Saturday’s shock defeat by Nottingham Forest. The Reds were stunned on the break inside three minutes when AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic found the net with a driven strike across goal.
