Marcus Rashford says he feels like he is “at home” at Barcelona after completing a season-long loan move to the La Liga club. The 27-year-old has joined on an initial 12-month loan from Manchester United, with the Catalan giants having the option of signing the England international on a permanent basis for £30.3m (35m euros) in 2026. He is the first English player to sign for Barcelona since Gary Lineker in 1986.

The Catalan giants will play in their home stadium once again on August 10, 2025, a date which the club says will be “a milestone that will mark the partial reopening of the Club’s new home as part of the wider Espai Barça transformation project.”

Liverpool have told Barcelona that Luis Díaz is not for sale after rejecting the Spanish champions’ first approach for the Colombia international. Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, contacted Liverpool officials on Wednesday to discuss the possible transfer of Díaz, who also has interest from the Saudi Pro League. However, Deco was informed Liverpool have no intention of selling the 28-year-old.
