Max Verstappen demoted to P4 in Sao Paulo Sprint

Max Verstappen has lost his third place in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Sprint for a Virtual Safety Car infringement when racing Oscar Piastri. Verstappen was driving too quickly when the late VSC ended during the last lap of a dramatic Sprint in Interlagos, won by Lando Norris, so has been given a five-second time penalty which drops him to fourth behind Charles Leclerc.

Norris wins Sao Paulo sprint thanks to McLaren team orders

Lando Norris took two points out of Max Verstappen’s championship lead with victory in the sprint race at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Norris was allowed through by team-mate Oscar Piastri two laps before the end of the race on team orders, after a tense four-way fight for the lead from the start. But McLaren made the swap a lot more tense than it needed to be, delaying it until Verstappen’s Red Bull had passed the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc with six laps to go.

Piastri pips Norris to Sprint Pole in Sao Paulo

Oscar Piastri led Lando Norris to a McLaren one-two in sprint qualifying at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Norris’ title rival Max Verstappen could manage only fourth place in the Red Bull, behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Verstappen, who has a five-place grid penalty for the main grand prix on Sunday, starts the weekend 47 points ahead of Norris in the championship.

Leclerc leads home dominant Ferrari 1-2 at US GP

Charles Leclerc impressively won the United States Grand Prix in a surprisingly-dominant one-two for Ferrari as Lando Norris lost third place to title rival Max Verstappen after being penalised for a late overtake on his F1 title rival. While Ferrari overcame the championship’s top two and front-row starters in a supreme show of speed as Leclerc led home team-mate Carlos Sainz, all eyes ended up still being on the title protagonists as they duelled over the final podium berth in a gripping, tense and ultimately controversial conclusion to the race.
