Spain fell behind through a bizarre own goal but recovered and seemed to have put the game to bed before Croatia rallied to force extra time. Spain secure last 16 place with five goal drubbing of Slovakia

Spain will face Croatia in the last 16 of Euro 2020 as they finished second in Group E thanks to a 5-0 thrashing of Slovakia in Sevilla. Two Slovakia own goals helped the Spaniards to victory with Aymeric Laporte, Pablo Sarabia and Ferran Torres all finding the net sending their opponents home.

A below par performance saw Spain slump to a 1-1 draw with Poland in their group E encounter at Euro 2020 complicating their chances of reaching the knockout stages. Carlo Ancelotti re-appointed as Real Madrid manager

Carlo Ancelotti has left Everton become Real Madrid manager for a second time. The 61-year-old Italian signed a four-and-a-half year contract at Goodison Park when he took over in December 2019 but leaves to replace Zinedine Zidane in the Spanish capital.
