Italy booked their place in the final of Euro 2020 defeating Spain 4-2 on penalties at Wembley. Jorginho held his nerve from the spot after a tense but thrilling game. Federico Chiesa put Italy ahead after an hour but a goal from Alvaro Morata ten minutes from the end forced extra-time.

Spain survived a real scare seeing off Switzerland 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw to reach the semi-finals of EURO 2020. A Denis Zakaria own goal gave Spain an early lead but the Swiss persevered and drew level through Xherdan Shaqiri. Their task was made more difficult following the dismissal of Remo Freuler and ultimately Spain held their nerve from the spot.
