Tiger Woods set to return to golf in 2027

Tiger Woods has been tipped to return to golf in 2027 after reclaiming a place on his TGL team at the expense of Kevin Kisner.

Woods, who fronts the Jupiter Links Golf Club, is preparing for the third season of the indoor golf league, with five players making up each team’s roster.

And the 15-time Major champion is recovering from injury after playing just one match in Season 2 before returning to play in the TGL Finals, with Jupiter Links eventually losing to Los Angeles Golf Club.

“Well, obviously, I’m not on the team anymore,” Kisner said on the Fore Play podcast. “I had a two-year contract with Jupiter Links and then they, Tiger wants to play. And then they wanted to sign Keith Mitchell, which is totally fine with me.

Woods is in contention to feature in TGL’s Season 3.

“And I’m sure I’ll still be involved in some sort of fashion at some point. Go down there and do some stuff for them. You know, the Bad News Bears are still going to be a part of my life, and hopefully they continue to win.”

Woods will be joined by Max Homa, Tom Kim and Akshay Bhatia, with the newly signed Mitchell also on board.

“Rob, Tiger’s guy, he texted me a long text last week, I think. Just telling me what they did on their decisions, how they were moving around and what players were going to do and that Tiger wanted to play a full schedule,” added Kisner.

And Kisner outlined how Woods could target The Hero World Challenge and PNC Championship in 2027 to complement his TGL commitments.
