Ajax to sack manager John Heitinga

Ajax have fired manager John Heitinga after a disastrous start to the season, the club confirmed on Thursday. On Wednesday evening, Ajax lost 3-0 to Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League to start their European season with four consecutive defeats. Leicester appoint Ruud van Nistelrooy as new manager

Leicester City have appointed former PSV Eindhoven boss Ruud van Nistelrooy as their new manager. The Dutchman replaces Steve Cooper, who was sacked last weekend after just 12 Premier League matches in charge of the Foxes. He has signed a contract until June 2027 at the King Power Stadium. Former Netherlands midfielder Johan Neeskens, best known for his time at Ajax and Barcelona, has died at the age of 73. Neeskens, who scored 17 goals in 49 international appearances for the Netherlands, enjoyed a 23-year playing career and later had spells in prominent managerial and coaching roles.
