Isak trains alone as Newcastle stand-off continues
Alexander Isak’s standoff with Newcastle escalated on Wednesday when the striker was ordered to train separately from his teammates and stay away from a lunchtime training‑ground barbecue. Eddie Howe, Newcastle’s manager, had organised the gathering for his players and staff and their partners and children, but Isak was told to delay his arrival for solitary training until later in the afternoon.

Newcastle United have reportedly submitted an improved offer of €75m to RB Leipzig for striker Benjamin Šeško. The 22 year old Slovenian international is viewed as a potential replacement for want-a-way forward Alexander Isak but the Bundesliga club have also received an offer from Manchester United who are eager to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

Mark Travers completes Everton move
Everton have completed the signing of goalkeeper Mark Travers on a four-year contract until the end of June 2029. The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins the Blues from Bournemouth, where he spent nine years after signing in 2016. Travers earned 82 appearances for the Cherries, while also experiencing loans spells at Weymouth, Swindon Town and Stoke City, along with Middlesbrough.

Decision on Palace’s Europa League fate delayed
A decision on whether Crystal Palace can compete in next season’s Europa League has been delayed by Uefa. The Eagles’ place, earned by winning the FA Cup last season, has been under threat because of Uefa’s multi-club ownership rules, which prevents teams under the same ownership from competing in the same European competition. Co-owner John Textor, who also co-owns French club Lyon, has agreed to sell his 44% stake in Palace in a bid to help their case.
