The PGA Tour and DP World Tour have agreed to merge with Saudi Arabian-backed circuit LIV Golf in a deal that ends the acrimonious split in the game. The surprise announcement comes after a year of unprecedented disruption in the men’s game following the launch of LIV. It means pending litigation between the tours will be halted and they will move forward as part of the same enterprise.

Tiger Woods will make his return to competitive golf at the Genesis Invitational next week. Woods, 47, has not competed since missing the cut at The Open in July, but will return for the event run by his foundation at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.

Tiger Woods has announced he will return to action at this year’s Hero World Challenge in his first outing since The 150th Open in July. The 15-time major champion took to Twitter to confirm his involvement in the 20-man tournament which is due to take place from December 1-4 in Albany.

The PGA Tour has suspended 17 players after their involvement in the Saudi-backed LIV International Golf Series in London today. PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan says “players have made choice for financial-based reasons” and “cannot demand the same benefits and opportunities” as other PGA Tour golfers.
