Teenager Arda Guler scored on his European Championship debut as Turkey broke Georgia’s hearts with a thrilling Group F victory in Dortmund. Right-back Mert Muldur gave Turkey the lead in the 25th minute but seven minutes later, Georges Mikautadze scored Georgia’s first goal in a major tournament. Nedim Bajrami made history after just 23 seconds when he thrashed a strike into the top right corner but Albania’s jubilation was not long-lasting with Alessandro Bastoni and Nicolo Barella firing Italy to victory.

Niclas Füllkrug scored a brilliant first half winner as Borussia Dortmund beat Paris Saint Germain 1-0 in a frenetic first leg of their Champions League semi-final. The German international used his right foot to expertly bring down a long ball before hammering home with his left. The Parisians had chances to level the tie but will have to turn things around next week if they are to reach the showpiece.

Borussia Dortmund reached their first Champions League semi-final in 11 years by producing a superb second-half comeback to beat Atletico Madrid 5-4 on aggregate. Having lost the first leg 2-1 in Madrid, Dortmund quickly turned things around with Julian Brandt and Chelsea loanee Ian Maatsen both scoring from tight angles in the first half.

Borussia Dortmund reached the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in three years thanks to goals from Jadon Sancho and Marco Reus against PSV Eindhoven. Sancho’s low driving shot from the edge of the area gave Dortmund the lead in the third minute, PSV had chances to level it but a late Marco Reus goal ended their European campaign.
