Russia have been disqualified from this summer’s Women’s Euros while its bids to host the men’s Euros in 2028 and 2032 have been deemed ineligible by UEFA. Chiedozie Ogbene had brought Ireland level after falling behind to a Michy Batshuayi strike before fellow Corkman Browne popped up to cancel out Hans Vanaken’s header to give the Boys in Green something to celebrate on the FAI’s centenary.

Callum Robinson hit a hat-trick as Ireland cruised to a 4-0 win over Qatar in their international friendly at the Aviva Stadium.
