Sublime Scheffler wins second Masters title

Scottie Scheffler fully justified his status as pre-tournament favourite with a nerveless second Masters title in the space of three years at Augusta National. The world number one carded a closing 68 to finish 11 under par and four shots clear of Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg, with England’s Tommy Fleetwood, two-time major winner Collin Morikawa and Max Homa three strokes further back.

Scheffler one clear of Morikawa after third round – The Masters

American world number one Scottie Scheffler hung on to the Masters lead on an eventful third day where Tiger Woods shot his worst score at a major. Scheffler, who is the hottest favourite at Augusta since Woods in his 2000s pomp, shot a one-under 71 to move seven under and one clear of Collin Morikawa. Morikawa carded a 69 for six under, with Max Homa (73) next on five under.

Scheffler ,Homa & DeChambeau share lead after second round – The Masters

American trio Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau and Max Homa share the lead while Tiger Woods made a record 24th consecutive halfway cut at the Masters. Homa’s 71 was one of only eight under par rounds on a blustery day two at Augusta as he improved to six under. Round one leader DeChambeau shot a 73, while Scheffler scrambled a 72.
