Carlos Sainz to start Turkish GP from the back due to engine change

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz will start from the back of the grid in this weekend’s Turkish Grand Prix as a result of penalties for exceeding his engine allocation. Team mate Charles Leclerc started at the back for the previous race in Russia for the same reason.

Turkish Grand Prix rejoins 2021 F1 Calendar

The Turkish Grand Prix has been added once again to the 2021 Formula 1 race calendar replacing the Singapore Grand Prix. The Turkish Grand Prix had previously been added to the calendar but was then removed due to Covid-19 travel restrictions however it will now host round 16 of the championship.

Further reshuffle to F1 calendar as Turkey is removed

Formula 1 have had to alter their race calendar once again replacing the Turkish Grand Prix with a second race in Austria at the Red Bull Ring. The date of the French Grand Prix has also been moved as a result of the development.

Turkey replaces Canada on Formula 1 calendar

The Canadian Grand Prix has been cancelled for the second successive year due to Covid-19 and will be replaced in its June slot by the Turkish Grand Prix. Strict quarantine measures in place in Montreal created a logistic barrier that forced the change to the calendar.
