Tiger Woods arrested and charged following crash in Florida

Golfer Tiger Woods has been charged with driving under the influence after a car crash in Florida, police say. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the 15-time major champion had also been charged with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Woods, 50, passed a breathalyser test after the crash on Jupiter Island on Friday, but refused a urine test having had to crawl out of the passenger side of his vehicle after colliding with a pressure cleaner truck.

Team Europe withstood an incredible final-day fightback from the United States to win the Ryder Cup with a dramatic 15-13 victory at Bethpage Black. Luke Donald’s side won each of the first four sessions to take a commanding 11.5-4.5 advantage heading into the final day, the largest in European history, leaving them 2.5 points to retain the trophy and three points for outright victory.
