Nyck de Vries, who impressed many in the Formula 1 paddock with his points-scoring one-off performance for Williams in the Italian Grand Prix, has been handed a full-time drive for next season. Alpine have confirmed the signing of Pierre Gasly for the 2023 Formula 1 season filling the seat vacated by Fernando Alonso. Red Bull dismiss budget cap breach as speculation

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner says he is “not aware” of the team having breached Formula 1’s budget cap, amid reports they could be penalised for over-spending during the 2021 campaign. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said the alleged breaches are a “heavyweight issue” that will have implications on results from the three world championships from 2021-2023.
