Nyck de Vries to drive for AlphaTauri in 2023

Nyck de Vries, who impressed many in the Formula 1 paddock with his points-scoring one-off performance for Williams in the Italian Grand Prix, has been handed a full-time drive for next season. The 27-year-old, who has previously been backed by McLaren and Mercedes, will drive for Red Bull’s junior team AlphaTauri.

Pierre Gasly to race for Alpine in 2023

Alpine have confirmed the signing of Pierre Gasly for the 2023 Formula 1 season filling the seat vacated by Fernando Alonso. He joins Esteban Ocon making it an all French lineup for the French manufacturer. He leaves AlphaTauri and the Red Bull driver programme after 103 races between Red Bull and their sister team.

The Mexican pipped the Monegasque into turn one and held off a late charge to take the fourth victory of his career. Leclerc’s Ferrari teammate Carlos Sainz finished third with Championship leader Max Verstappen seventh.
