Nottingham Forest have been docked four points for breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules. The deduction drops Forest into the Premier League’s relegation zone, leaving them 18th with nine games to play. Forest admitted a breach by £34.5million above their permitted threshold of £61million.

Everton’s Premier League points deduction reduced to six on appeal

Everton’s penalty for breaching Premier League financial rules has been reduced from 10 points to six after an appeal. The club were immediately docked 10 points in November for breaking profit and sustainability rules (PSR) in the three-year period to 2021-22. The reduction lifts them from 17th to 15th, although the club is facing another possible points deduction.

Crystal Palace have appointed former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner as their new manager. Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is in a stable condition and having tests in hospital after being taken ill during training on Thursday, the Premier League club have confirmed. The 76-year-old was due to speak at a scheduled press conference , but members of the media waiting outside the club’s New Beckenham training ground were informed the briefing would not take place.
