Alpine have confirmed the signing of Pierre Gasly for the 2023 Formula 1 season filling the seat vacated by Fernando Alonso. He joins Esteban Ocon making it an all French lineup for the French manufacturer. He leaves AlphaTauri and the Red Bull driver programme after 103 races between Red Bull and their sister team.

Red Bull dismiss budget cap breach as speculation

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner says he is “not aware” of the team having breached Formula 1’s budget cap, amid reports they could be penalised for over-spending during the 2021 campaign. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said the alleged breaches are a “heavyweight issue” that will have implications on results from the three world championships from 2021-2023.

Nicholas Latifi and Williams to part company at end of season

Williams have announced they will part company with driver Nicholas Latifi at the end of the 2022 season. The 27 year old Canadian has spent three seasons at the Grove outfit but a failure to progress and poor performances compared to his teammates in that time period have seen the team decide to look elsewhere for 2023.
