West Ham appoint Graham Potter as new manager

Graham Potter says he is looking forward to a “big challenge” after being confirmed as the new West Ham manager. The 49-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the London club, who sacked Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday after six months in charge. Potter takes over with the Hammers 14th in the Premier League – seven points above the relegation zone.

West Ham appoint Julen Lopetegui as new head coach

West Ham United have confirmed that Julen Lopetegui has taken over as manager after David Moyes’s exit at the end of the Premier League season. Lopetegui has managed Spain and Real Madrid but was most recently with Wolves, stepping down on the eve of the new season in August 2023. The 57-year-old previously guided Sevilla to the Europa League title in 2019-20, as well as consecutive finishes in the top four of Spain’s La Liga.
