UEFA bans Russia from Women’s Euros and rejects 2028 & 2032 bids

Russia have been disqualified from this summer’s Women’s Euros while its bids to host the men’s Euros in 2028 and 2032 have been deemed ineligible by UEFA. Browne header hands Ireland draw with Belgium

A late Alan Browne headed handed Ireland a deserved 2-2 draw in their friendly with Belgium. Chiedozie Ogbene had brought Ireland level after falling behind to a Michy Batshuayi strike before fellow Corkman Browne popped up to cancel out Hans Vanaken’s header to give the Boys in Green something to celebrate on the FAI’s centenary.
