Arsenal survive Spurs fightback to win North London derby

Premier League leaders Arsenal survived a second-half scare at Tottenham to hold on for a 3-2 north London derby victory that cemented their place at the top. A 23-minute blitz saw the Gunners race into a 3-0 lead through a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg own goal, Bukayo Saka finish and Kai Havertz header but an error from David Raya opened the door for Spurs to hit back through Cristian Romero and a Heung-min Son penalty.

Tottenham sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton

Tottenham have completed the signing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton. The Denmark midfielder has signed a five-year contract and becomes Jose Mourinho’s first summer signing, joining for a fee of around £15m plus bonuses.
