Gareth Bale has agreed to join MLS side Los Angeles FC on a one-year deal. The forward, a free agent after leaving Real Madrid this summer, had other offers but has chosen to move to California and the MLS. Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Sadio Mane from Liverpool in a deal worth up to £35m. The 30-year-old has signed a contract with the German champions until 2025. Bayern will pay Liverpool an initial £27.5m with a further £5m based on appearances, and will pay another £2.5m based on individual and team achievements.

Arsenal have confirmed a deal sign midfielder Fabio Vieira from Porto for £34m including add ons. The 22-year-old is the Gunners’ third summer arrival after goalkeeper Matt Turner and Brazil forward Marquinhos. Arsenal will pay £30m up front plus £4m in performance-related add-ons.

Liverpool have completed the signing of Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez from Portuguese side Benfica on a six-year-deal for an initial £64m. The 22-year-old could become the club’s record signing, with the fee rising to a potential £85m with add-ons. Nunez scored 34 times in 41 appearances for Benfica last season.
