Marco Rose has agreed to take over as Bournemouth manager on a three-year contract when Andoni Iraola leaves at the end of the season. Bournemouth announced last Tuesday that Iraola, 43, would not be signing a new deal at Vitality Stadium. German manager Rose was one of three candidates considered by the Cherries, along with Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna and Rayo Vallecano’s Inigo Perez. The 49-year-old has been without a club since he was sacked by RB Leipzig in March 2025 and has never previously managed in England.

Amine Adli scored a stoppage-time winner as Bournemouth ended Liverpool’s 13-match unbeaten run in a Premier League thriller at Vitality Stadium. After a goalmouth scramble, Adli finished in the fifth minute of time added on to send the home fans wild after Liverpool had initially come from two goals down to level. Luton Town have confirmed that their captain Tom Lockyer is in a stable condition in hospital after suffering cardiac arrest during the second half of their Premier League clash at Bournemouth. Lockyer was attended to by paramedics and staff at the Vitality Stadium after collapsing on the field before he was carried off on a stretcher.
