Juventus have been docked 15 points following an investigation into the club’s past transfer dealings, Italy’s football federation (FIGC) says. The Serie A giants were accused of fixing their balance sheets by artificial gains from club transfers. Juventus had been in third place but the penalty will drop them to 10th.

Sinisa Mihajlovic, who helped Red Star Belgrade win the European Cup in 1991 and went on to manage Serie A clubs including AC Milan and Bologna, has died at the age of 53, the Football Association of Serbia has confirmed. Mijajlovic bravely battled leukaemia while remaining manager of Bologna.

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt in a deal worth €70m. The 22 year old Netherlands international has signed a five-year deal with the German champions. The German giants could see the fee rise by a further €10m in add-ons.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has signed a one-year contract extension that commits him to AC Milan past his 41st birthday. The Sweden striker, who turns 41 in October, scored eight league goals last season as Milan beat rivals Inter to the Serie A title.
